The United Arab Emirates lifted sanctions against Israel and allowed trade

The president of the United Arab Emirates has lifted sanctions against Israel and approved the implementation of a trade and financial agreement between the two countries.

Reuters quoted the united Arab emirates news agency (WAM) (29) reported on Saturday, the President of the united Arab emirates (uae) Al Nahyan (Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan) has issued a decree, lifting sanctions laws and regulations of Israel, allowed to execute the trade and financial agreements with Israel in the united Arab emirates.

The purpose of the decree is to “support bilateral cooperation in order to establish bilateral relations,” the EMIRATES news agency said.

Israeli carrier El Al, meanwhile, plans to begin direct flights from Tel Aviv to ABU Dhabi on Aug. 30. Reuters quoted U.S. officials as saying the Israeli delegation and top aides to U.S. President Donald Trump, including top adviser Jared Kushner, planned to fly directly from Israel to the United Arab Emirates.

Reuters said the agreement between Israel and the UNITED Arab Emirates still needs to be negotiated on specific issues, including the opening of embassies, trade and tourism links, before it can be formally signed.

There is no official air link between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, and it is unclear whether Israeli airlines will be able to fly directly over Saudi Arabia, which has no formal diplomatic ties with Israel, Reuters said.

A Etihad Airways flight from the United Arab Emirates arrived in Tel Aviv in May with anti-epidemic supplies for Palestinians, making it the first known direct flight from the United Arab Emirates to Israel.
