PLA Fighter Jets ‘Surround’ Taiwan, Only Northeast Gap Left.

China Intensifies Taiwan Provocations, PLA Main and Auxiliary Aircraft Deployed at Sea Since Yesterday (26th) 7 AM.

The Ministry of National Defense stated today (27th) that up until 6 AM, 35 sorties of aircraft and 7 naval vessels were detected. Among them, 33 sorties of aircraft crossed the median line of the strait, persistently intruding into the airspace over northern, central, southwestern, and eastern Taiwan, with the closest proximity to Keelung being approximately 40 nautical miles.

According to the Ministry of National Defense’s released schematic of PLA activities in the vicinity of Taiwan’s air space on the 27th, from early morning on the 26th to early morning on the 27th, 35 sorties of aircraft and 7 naval vessels were detected. Among them, 33 sorties of aircraft crossed the median line, surrounding Taiwan from the north, central, south, and east. From 05:57 to 16:28, 18 sorties of main and auxiliary fighter aircraft and drones were detected operating in the airspace west of Taiwan, with 17 sorties crossing the median line, the nearest point being 110 nautical miles from Cape Eluanbi and 40 nautical miles from Keelung. From 02:35 to 14:04, 4 sorties of main and auxiliary fighter aircraft and drones were detected operating in the southeastern airspace after entering southern Taiwan, the closest point being 43 miles from Cape Eluanbi. From 06:28 to 13:23, 12 sorties of main and auxiliary fighter aircraft and drones were detected operating in the southern airspace. Additionally, from 06:35 to 10:52, 1 sortie of auxiliary fighter aircraft was detected operating in northern Taiwan airspace. PLA aircraft ‘surround’ Taiwan, with only the northeast airspace remaining vacant.

In response to mainland military harassment, the defense department stated that reconnaissance aircraft, reconnaissance ships, and coastal missile systems are being deployed to closely monitor and respond.
