The legal battle over the U.S. election continues. Michigan Democratic Congresswoman Cynthia Johnson, who was accused of intimidating witnesses at a hearing, has used the video to make another terrorist threat against Trump supporters. It was discovered that she played ping-pong with the Chinese Consul General last year.
On December 8, Johnson posted a video on Facebook, which quickly went viral online. In the video, she tells Trump supporters, “This is a warning. (You) need to be careful” and “(You) need to stop in moderation.”
She then appears to issue a directive to her supporters: “For those of you who are ‘warriors,’ you know what to do. Do it well. Get ready. Make them pay.”
After the video went viral on Twitter, some users said that Johnson should be arrested immediately for publicly posting such terrorist threats. Others said that if a conservative had posted such a video, he might have been arrested immediately, but there are no consequences for the left for doing such a thing.
Some leftist media have defended Johnson, saying that she posted the video against the so-called “person who made the threat to herself. Johnson claimed that she was “threatened by a female Trump supporter over the phone” after the Michigan hearing. The local police said they “acted quickly and found the woman.
In a hearing on election fraud at the Michigan legislature, Johnson went so far as to ask for the full name and “maiden name” of a married female witness. Trump’s lawyers said that Johnson’s questions had nothing to do with the testimony and that she clearly intended to physically threaten the witness and her family.
During the hearing, Johnson also repeatedly accused the council leader of “allowing witnesses to lie” and put them under oath. The council leader, who presided over the hearing, repeatedly banged his gavel to stop her: “A hearing is not a court of law and does not require an oath. Giuliani, Trump’s lawyer, also reminded her that “all the witnesses at the hearing signed a sworn affidavit”.
Behind the fraud in this election, the Chinese Communist Party has a lot of ghosts. Several swing state officials involved in the election have been accused of having close ties to the Communist Party. Netizens have discovered that Johnson also appears to have had close interactions with CCP officials.
On social media, users circulated a photo of Johnson playing ping pong with a Chinese consul general last year, and lamented the depth of Chinese penetration in American politics.
The photo is of Johnson holding a friendly ping pong match with Chinese Consul General Zhao Jian in Detroit in September 2019 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the United States and China. In the midst of the heated Cold War between the U.S. and China last year, Johnson and Zhao commemorated the 40th anniversary of U.S.-China “ping pong diplomatic relations” in this way, which is clearly symbolic and significant.
