President Donald Trump issued a statement after Biden’s announcement of his victory, the following is a translation of the statement.
We all know why Joe Biden is eager to pretend to be the winner, and why his media allies are working so hard to help him: they don’t want the truth to come out. The simple fact is that this election is far from over. Joe Biden has yet to be confirmed as the winner in any state, let alone in states that are hotly contested, where a mandatory recount is imminent, or where our campaign has launched valid and legal legal proceedings that could determine the ultimate victor. For example, in Pennsylvania, our legal observers were not allowed to effectively watch the vote counting process. Legitimate votes determine who is president, not the news media.
Beginning Monday, our campaigns will begin prosecuting our cases in court to ensure that election laws are fully upheld and that a legitimate winner is chosen. The American people have the right to an honest election: that means counting all legal votes, not any illegal ones. It is the only way to ensure full public confidence in our elections. Shockingly, the Biden campaign refuses to agree to this basic principle and wants ballots that are counterfeit, manufactured, or cast by ineligible or deceased voters to be counted. Only one party engaged in wrongdoing would illegally keep observers out of the counting room – and then struggle in court to prevent them from entering.
So, what is Biden hiding? I will not rest until the American people get the honest vote count they deserve and that democracy demands.
