U.S. e-commerce giant: Communists are taking over America

On Monday, Jan. 11, Patrick Byrne, founder and former CEO of Overstock, a U.S. e-commerce giant, said that a “Communist takeover of America” is now underway in the United States.

Byrne made the remarks in an interview with Jenny Chang, host of New Tang Dynasty TV’s Focus Talk on Monday. He said, “What the leftist groups are trying to do is to prepare a bill. Once that bill passes, they’re imposing a Chinese style of censorship (on Americans). I think that means the Communists are taking over America.”

Bourne fears that there may even be a future phenomenon in the United States where reports of people questioning irregularities in the 2020 election may also be considered “domestic extremism. Bourne warned, “What they (the left) are going to do is unleash the FBI, the DHS and the CIA and unshackle them, so that they all become tools for oppressing domestic political opponents. They all use the guise of ‘fighting domestic extremism’ to silence political opponents, such as the recent statement, ‘You saw Congress being overrun,’ etc.”

Twitter (Twitter) permanently deleted President Trump‘s account on Jan. 8. Meanwhile, Google and Apple have removed the Twitter-like social media App Parler from their respective app stores, accusing the company of allowing “dangerous” content to be posted on its platform. Amazon has followed suit, removing Parler from its service.

In response, Bourne said, “It’s a color revolution. And it was really well managed and well executed.” He went on to explain that the unfolding color revolution has gone through four stages: demoralization through the Communist virus pandemic; the disorientation caused by Antifa, which burned down buildings, vandalized and looted, but to which the state did not respond; the crisis of the presidential election; and the normalization stage, which is now, where the media and big tech companies are eliminating all opposing views.

It’s completely Orwellian,” according to Bourne. He said he was “absolutely appalled” by the election irregularities. He went on to say, “I think the Achilles heel of liberalism is the corruption of the system.” He implied that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) realized this a long time ago and has been “influence peddling” in the United States for 20 to 25 years. He believes the CCP was also involved in meddling in the November U.S. election.

Bourne also said the U.S. Supreme Court should make some decisions in current cases to ensure the integrity and transparency of the U.S. election system. He said, “Everything will be about the integrity of the ballot …… Take action! If we don’t do it, there won’t be a next time. We have to do this in two years.”
