Will the removal of the uterus affect popping? Your gynecologist tells you the answer.

While brushing Twitter, I had stumbled upon this, “My boyfriend is a family man, but I can’t bear to let him get a divorce, I understand him, his wife cut her uterus and can’t have sex ……”

Too much information not to mention a small occupational hazard: this can’t be right!

What happens when a woman loses her uterus? Is it really impossible to live as a couple? In order to prevent innocent girls from being deceived, we interviewed Li Ye, the head of the gynecology department at Beijing Hospital, and let her professionally talk to us about the uterus.

Why do they need hysterectomy?

A woman’s uterus is often removed because of a disease of the uterus or other organs of the reproductive system. For example, cervical cancer, endometriosis, endometriosis, malignant tumors of the ovaries or fallopian tubes, all of which require hysterectomy in severe cases.

Or in cases of severe dysfunctional uterine bleeding, failure of conservative treatment, severe uterine rupture, uterine pus, uterine inversion, uterine prolapse, severe uterine adenomyosis, or complex endometrial hyperplasia after menopause, hysterectomy is the choice made by doctors after evaluation of the pros and cons of hysterectomy and after communication with patients.

According to statistics, 90 million women around the world have had their uterus removed, while in China, more than one million women are forced to have their uterus removed every year. Have so many people lost their sex life since then?

The removal of the uterus doesn’t affect “the thing”!

From a physiological point of view, the ovaries dominate the secretory function of the vagina, and it is from them that the woman’s mucus is secreted during sexual excitement. Removal of the uterus, leaving the ovaries intact, means that menstruation no longer occurs, and reproductive functions are lost, but it does not affect the sex life.

Dr. Li said, in clinical practice often encounter this question: “after removal of the uterus, no menstruation, loss of reproductive function, I do not become a man”.

The most important thing is to eliminate the psychological pressure. Many women who have had their uterus removed will have a “sense of inferiority”, such as the fear that they will lose their uterus and also lose their “attractiveness”. This unnecessary worry, will psychologically affect the conjugal life, so this time the spouse’s care and understanding is also very important.

The relationship between the uterus and ovaries, like a gun and target, if the target away, still can shoot, hysterectomy, ovaries as usual ovulation, endocrine system and will not change.

After hysterectomy, the ovaries will continue to ovulate and the endocrine system will not change.

Some studies suggest that the length of the vagina changes slightly after hysterectomy and that there may be individual differences in satisfaction with life.

There is a relationship between the uterus and the ovaries in terms of blood supply, when the hysterectomy occurs, some of the blood to the ovaries has to go up through the uterine artery, it is bound to ligate some of the blood vessels around the ovaries, and if the blood vessels of the ovaries are damaged, the blood supply to the ovaries will be affected and there is a possibility that some of the ovarian function will be reduced.

Fertility is not a necessary option in life, but health is. It is important for women to take care of their uterus and have regular medical checkups to minimize damage to it from disease.
