Careful netizens found that Xi Jinping wore the same blue and white flower tie for his three recent public appearances. Some netizens said that the tie pattern is a smiling sun and a crescent moon, which seems to be the mysterious code. And the tie should be an American product.

According to official media reports, on the morning of May 28, the 20th General Assembly of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the 15th General Assembly of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the 10th National Congress of the Chinese Association for Science and Technology were held at the Great Hall of the People. Xi Jinping attended the conference and delivered a speech.

Some netizens said that the tie featured a smiling sun and crescent moon from a high-resolution photo, and said it appeared to be a mysterious code.

Netizens also searched that the tie Xi wore may have been made by American clothing retailer Land’s End, available on eBay for $14, and may have been hand-stitched in the United States (pictured below).
