Antifa elements selling Jan. 6 video to CNN and NBC have $90,000 seized by federal authorities

The National Archives reported on May 22 that John Sullivan, the Antifa activist who stormed the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 and later sold video to CNN, has been held by authorities for $90,000.

On January 6, Antifa and Black Lives Matter activist John Sullivan, disguised as a Trump supporter, stormed the Capitol and shot video of Capitol police shooting Ashli Babbitt, later selling the video he shot to CNN and NBC for $35,000 each.

On the evening of May 21, Reuters reported that “U.S. authorities have seized about $90,000 from Sullivan. And prosecutors have filed additional criminal charges against Sullivan.

Reuters noted that Sullivan bragged, “My video is worth millions of dollars. “Sullivan sold the footage to several news organizations for a total of $90,000, according to the seizure order. The search warrant contains redactions for these news organizations.

In interviews with the media, he appeared to admit that people from Black Namek and Antifa were present during the riots. He claimed that he had stormed the U.S. Capitol disguised as a supporter of President Trump in order to “document” the riot.
