According to the People’s Daily, the Wuhan Emergency Management Bureau pointed out that at 20:39 on May 14, Caidian District, Wuhan Economic Development Zone, located in the western suburbs of Wuhan City, Wuhan Junshan Area, suddenly started a 9-level tornado, with a wind speed of 23.9 meters per second, causing damage to some houses, as well as a large number of broken trees, sheds collapsed.
As of 4:30 on the 15th, the tornado caused 6 deaths, 218 people were injured, a total of 27 households and 85 houses collapsed, 130 households and 400 houses were damaged, and rescue is ongoing.
