Twenty-four young people were sentenced in a case involving the “Vulgar Wiki” website that was triggered by the leak of Xi Jinping‘s daughter’s personal information. Previously, it was revealed that the police made Niu Tengyu, an operator and maintainer of the site, the “main culprit” for submitting shady reports and making false confessions. Today (March 15), a parent of a young man who was sentenced told reporters that he learned from a child who was released from prison that the Guangdong police had changed the main culprit three times and finally locked him in as the “main culprit” because Niu Tengyu refused to bribe the police and refused to confess to the crime.
The parent, who wishes to remain anonymous, said he was told by a released minor child, A, that A had heard public security officers talk about how all the Parents of the children in the case had given money to the police, except for Niu Tengyu, who did not bribe the police. The parent said, “He (A) said their families also spent hundreds of thousands of dollars, and the lowest one gave 100,000 yuan, or else they would let their children suffer.”
The parent disclosed that Yang Guangyao, the cyber security chief of the Maoming City Public Security Bureau’s Maonan Branch who hosted the case, then directly extorted the Family for money.
The parent learned from A that the police did not intend to name Niu Tengyu as the main culprit at first, but changed three people in the middle before finally locking him in.
The parent said: “He (A) said at the beginning of the Gu Yang Yang as the main culprit, Gu Yang Yang Yang let go, then Guo Jialong ready to set as the main culprit, Guo Jialong out of the vicious wiki for more than a year, said set into him, afraid that once exposed, the higher-ups a check, Guo Jialong has been out of a year, not suitable, gave up. Finally, Chen Le’an was selected as the main culprit, after the decision, after a few days and ruled out, because Chen Le’an he is a minor, but also not too logical, he (police) afraid that the case will one day overturned, it is easy to reveal, and finally selected Niu Tengyu.”
The parents also learned from the A police selected Niu Tengyu reason, “this child (A) heard them (police) said, he (Niu Tengyu) did not send money, this child (Niu Tengyu) the most resistant, said I did not do never admit, I will not cooperate with you, he always say such things, and then he (police) hate Niu Tengyu, this child (Niu Tengyu) The highest technology, more intelligent, decided to make Niu Tengyu as the main culprit. After being convicted as the main culprit, he began to beat him and give him false testimony, so that these children said that they must say Niu Tengyu, if not, you will be given a heavier sentence. He (A) said we were against our will and hoped (Niu Tengyu’s family) would forgive them.”
A told the parent that he had also been beaten after being taken in, and had been stripped naked and insulted and touched by police officers surnamed Chen when he was imprisoned in Foshan.
Previously, Niu Tengyu’s lawyer met with him and revealed that he had been stripped naked and insulted by Chen’s police officers while he was detained in Foshan, and that his private parts had been burned.
Later, Niu Tengyu’s mother revealed to us that the police officer, named Chen Quanhui, touched Niu Tengyu’s body and made obscene remarks.
Another minor child came out and told A. that after he was taken in, he was made to squat in horse stance for a whole day, and couldn’t get up the next day.
The case was sparked by the disclosure of the personal information of Xi Jinping’s daughter Xi Mingze and brother-in-law Deng Jiagui by the overseas Red Bank Foundation and the website Chinawiki. The Guangdong public security officials in charge of the case were accused of being powerless against the overseas exposers, so they arrested and sentenced those involved with the mainland website “Vulgar Wiki”, which shared links to the two websites, as “scapegoats”.
The first trial resulted in a 14-year sentence for Niu Tengyu, a 20-year-old computer genius named by police as the “main culprit” in the case. Subsequently, some of the convicted children filed appeals, and news continued to emerge that the judge of the second trial wanted to dismiss the case in writing without a hearing. After the case, the Guangdong police continued to uncover various scandals, including threats to lawyers, threats to parents who cried out for justice, bribery, torture to extract confessions, false confessions, and the submission of shady reports, i.e., the initial report submitted by the Maoming police to the Guangdong Public Security Bureau showed Gu Yang Yang, the website’s webmaster, as the main culprit, but later in the report submitted to the Ministry of Public Security, the main culprit became Niu Teng Yu.
