The former Customs and Border Protection commissioner believes that in the hours after he was sworn in, Biden put American lives at risk with the stroke of a pen, Breitbart News released an exclusive report Saturday.
Former U.S. Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Mark Morgan said President Joe Biden made America insecure within hours of being sworn in on Jan. 20, the report said. He said the new president’s executive order ended the Trump administration’s immigration protection deal and halted construction of the border wall system, putting American lives at risk.
“With the stroke of a pen, President Biden has made this country insecure,” Commissioner Morgan told Breitbart News in an exclusive interview.” It’s pure politics over public safety.”
Morgan said he was surprised by how quickly Biden transitioned on these issues without taking the Time to talk with experts from Border Patrol and Customs and Border Protection about the immediate impact of the executive order ending construction of the border wall system and the highly successful “Stay in Mexico” program.
“I’ll tell you, I know what our team told the transition team,” the former commissioner explained.” I know the facts, the data and the analysis that was provided. I know what was told to them and what was given to them that showed the wall was working.”
“Plus, it’s part of a multi-layered strategy of infrastructure, technology and people that we’ve discussed,” he said.” It’s not just a wall.”
Morgan said ending the Migrant Protection Program (MPP), also known as the “Stay in Mexico” program, has also made Americans feel less secure.
“So this is the most dangerous thing that we’ve been saying, and he’s been saying he’s going to get rid of it on day one, and that’s what he’s done,” the commissioner said.” This policy is only attributable to the absolute reduction of [immigrant] families coming from Central America.”
From the peak of border migration in May 2019 to February 2020, Customs and Border Protection reported a 92 percent decrease in the number of Central American migrant families crossing from Mexico, according to Breitbart News Texas.

“In May, 61 percent of the people we met were families, and most of them were from the Northern Triangle countries. Because, they (transnational criminal organizations – TCOs) know our system is broken. If you come to the U.S. with your children, you’re going to be released into the interior of the United States.
So, the main goal we set, related to President (Trump’s) strategy, is to reduce the flow of families from the Northern Triangle countries. We’ve succeeded, nine months in a row …… These numbers, families from the Northern Triangle have been reduced and continue to be reduced. “
Last weekend, thousands of Honduran migrants forced their way across the Guatemalan border with the intention of traveling to the United States after Biden took office.
Morgan said this is a direct result of Biden’s “open borders strategy.
“Don’t listen to me,” he said, “listen to the migrants themselves, ‘Biden told us we have 100 days to get to the U.S. border.'”
Some of these migrants have presented fake COVID-19 (Chinese Communist virus) test results to Guatemalan border security officials in an attempt to be allowed to pass through the country.
This week, in preparation for an expected increase in illegal border crossings due to Biden’s border security and immigration reforms, Customs and Border Protection officials plan to build a new soft-side processing center, according to Breitbart News-Texas.
“We know our facilities are going to become overwhelmed as they are in 2019,” Morgan told Breitbart News Network.” The bottom line – we’re preparing for another wave of illegal immigration.”
Morgan said his tenure as commissioner of Customs and Border Protection is not about politics.
“It’s about law and order,” he said.” It’s about the security and sovereignty of this great country.”
“What I’m seeing right now is really frustrating,” Morgan concluded.” To me, it’s all about politics. It’s all about politics. And our country is becoming insecure because of it, and it’s just disgusting.”
Breitbart News-Texas contacted U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials for more information on the closure of the border wall construction and the end of the immigration protection agreement. Customs and Border Protection officials referred them to the White House, which has not yet responded to requests for information.
