On Wednesday morning, Hawley tweeted, “The voices of millions of voters who care about the integrity of elections deserve to be heard. I will be filing an opposition on their behalf on Jan. 6.”
Hawley wrote, “I can’t vote to certify the Electoral College results on Jan. 6 without pointing out that some states, especially Pennsylvania, have failed to comply with their own state election laws. I also can’t help but point out the unprecedented efforts of large corporations, including Facebook and Twitter, to interfere with the election in support of Joe Biden. At the very least, Congress should be investigating allegations of election fraud and taking steps to ensure the integrity of our elections, but Congress has done nothing so far.”
In his statement, Hawley also noted that Democrats raised objections during the certification of the 2004 and 2016 election results “in order to raise concerns about the integrity of elections.”
“When they filed objections (opinions), they were praised by Democratic leaders and the media that they ‘had the right to do so,’ and Republicans who were concerned about the integrity of the Nov. 3 election ‘had the right to do the same thing ‘” He wrote.
“For these reasons, I will follow the practice of congressional Democrats in previous years and raise objections to the Jan. 6 certification process that raise these critical issues.”
To date, in addition to Senator Hawley’s formal announcement of his participation in the challenge, Alabama Senator-elect Tommy Tuberville and Kentucky Senator Rand Paul have both indicated they may join Brooks’ plan; Georgia Senator Kelly Loeffler and Texas Senator Ted Cruz are also likely to join the challenge, but they have not issued public statements to date.
In November 2018, Hawley defeated then-U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill at the age of 38 and became the youngest member of the U.S. Senate when she took office in January 2019.

Biden again slip of the tongue inadvertently reveals big secret?
The 78-year-old Biden made another slip of the tongue when he called his deputy Kamala Harris “president-elect” at a press conference on Dec. 29, sparking a firestorm of controversy among netizens.
The New York Post and The U.S. Sun reported that Biden spoke about the epidemic in his hometown of Wilmington, Delaware, on Dec. 29, urging Trump to make a clear appeal to all Americans to get vaccinated, but when he mentioned that his deputy Kamala Harris had been vaccinated, he mistakenly referred to her as “President-elect. He said he was referring to his deputy, Hejinli, as “the president-elect” by mistake.
“I administered the vaccine to instill confidence in the public about the vaccine, and ‘President-elect’ Hejinli is administering the vaccine today for the same reason.”
One netizen said, “I guess he will soon not even remember who he is.” Some netizens also speculated, “Not a slip of the tongue, inadvertently said a slip of the tongue and accidentally revealed a big secret.”
Before Biden also frequently gaffes, one has to wonder if he is suffering from Alzheimer’s, and there are many who worry that in the next four years, the 78-year-old Biden will be able to lead the U.S. comfortably to meet all the challenges.
CBP Acting Director: Biden Administration Could Fuel Wave of Illegal Immigrants
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Acting Director Mark Morgan said Tuesday (Dec. 29) that if Biden ends up in the White House and cancels the humanitarian agreement that helped protect the U.S. southern border, it will likely lead to a “wave” of illegal immigrants trying to cross the border.
The Trump administration has finalized agreements with Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras to restrict illegal immigrants from seeking asylum in the United States.
“These humanitarian agreements demonstrate the Trump Administration’s unwavering efforts to secure U.S. borders from illegal entry by working closely with our regional partners. Without these agreements, we would likely have seen a wave of attempted illegal entries similar to that of 2019.” CBP Acting Director Morgan said in a statement.
Biden’s team has previously said they plan to cancel the agreements if Biden is elected president.
