China imported a significant amount of corn and pork last month

Beijing, December 24, China Customs released the latest statistics show that China imported 1.23 million tons of corn in November, an increase of 1142.2% year-on-year; the annual cumulative corn imports of 9.04 million tons, an increase of 122.8%.

The data show that China imported 800,000 tons of wheat in November, up 77.6% year-on-year; the annual cumulative wheat imports of 7.49 million tons, up 150.6% year-on-year. 710,000 tons of sugar imports in November, up 114% year-on-year; the annual cumulative sugar imports of 4.36 million tons, up 37.3% year-on-year. 200,000 tons of cotton imports in November, up 86.6% year-on-year; the annual cumulative cotton imports of 1.8 million tons, up 6.4% year-on-year. Palm edible oil imports in November were 460,000 tons, down 27.8% year-on-year; cumulative palm edible oil imports in November were 4.03 million tons, down 20.5% year-on-year.

In terms of meat, China imported 330,000 tons of pork in November, up 39.4% year-on-year, and 3.95 million tons of pork in November, up 115% year-on-year. 170,000 tons of beef were imported in November, down 9.9% year-on-year, and 1.91 million tons of beef in November, up 29.9% year-on-year.

China exported 1.26 million tons of gasoline in November, down 31.6% year-on-year, and 14.55 million tons of gasoline in the year, down 0.6% year-on-year. 460,000 tons of aviation kerosene were exported in November, down 71.5% year-on-year, and 9.54 million tons of aviation kerosene in the year, down 39.2% year-on-year. 2.04 million tons of refined oil were imported in November, down 14.7% year-on-year, and 2.618 million tons of refined oil were imported in the year, Imports of refined petroleum products dropped by 3.9% to 26.18 million tons in November.

China imported 6.61 million tons of liquefied natural gas (LNG) in November, up 2.4% year-over-year, and 59.54 million tons of LNG in November, up 10.7% year-over-year. 2.56 million tons of gaseous natural gas were imported in November, down 13% year-over-year, and 30.90 million tons of gaseous natural gas were imported in November, down 7.1% year-over-year.
