Yung Haien bombarded bail is like giving a chance to Li Zhiying to go

The media reported that the founder of Next Media, Mr. Lai Chi-ying, was charged with fraud and then with “colluding with foreign countries or forces to endanger national security” under Hong Kong’s national security law. The court granted bail and asked Lai Chi-ying not to leave his residence, but Lai has a history of collusion with foreign forces, it is inevitable that someone “assisted” and helped Lai to abscond, said the court granted bail is the same as “giving the opportunity to Lai Chi-ying to go away”.

The court also said that the bail was granted to Lai Chi-ying, who was released on bail, and that the HK$10 million bail was not a deterrent to Lai. She said that many people involved in anti-amendment cases have recently abandoned bail and absconded, while Lai Chi-ying’s high-profile support for anti-amendment events, involving multiple cases, facing very long sentences, so there is a great opportunity to abscond.

Yung Haien continued to say that if Lai Chi-ying left his residence, or even abandoned bail and absconded, the court may need to take great responsibility, reiterating that the Department of Justice should appeal against bail as soon as possible, and re-examine Lai’s bail conditions.
