According to the Modern Express, Wei Yue, secretary of the party committee and director of the board of directors of the Lianyungang General Cooperative Society for Supply and Marketing, was attacked at 22:00 on the evening of the 18th in the Cangwu Riverside Garden district on Keyuan Road in Lianyungang City. Public information shows that Wei Yue, 49, is a native of Gounan County, Lianyungang City. He has served as the director of the Press and Publication Department of the Propaganda Department of the Lianyungang Municipal Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Donghai County Party Committee and the Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, the Deputy Secretary of the Donghai County Party Committee and the President of the Party School, etc. Since December 2019, he has been the Secretary of the Party Committee and the Director of the Board of Directors of the Lianyungang City General Cooperative Society for Supply and Marketing.
