The US Congress has introduced legislation to punish the Chinese Communist Party for forcibly removing organs

According to The Newsmax on December 16, US lawmakers are seeking legislation to punish the Communist Party for “egregious” human rights abuses in the $1 billion organ transplant industry, in which Doctors have been accused of harvesting organs from prisoners in labor camps.

Senator Tom Cotton, a Republican from Arkansas, announced the End of Forced Organ Removal Act December 16. “There is increasing evidence that the Communist Party has been and continues to take organs from prisoners and members of Chinese religious groups,” he said. The bill will identify and punish Party members involved in forcibly removing organs.”

“It is time for Beijing to be held accountable for these heinous acts.”

According to a report by an international court in London, Communist party doctors take organs, sometimes live, from detainees in Chinese labor camps — that is, while they are alive — and sell them in a market worth $1 billion a year, NBC News reported.

“Organ extortion is a barbaric, inhuman and heinous act that affects the globe, as transnational human trafficking gangs, terrorist organizations, profitabiles and even governments — especially The Communist regime in China — kill innocent people and sell their organs for profit.” “Representative Chris Smith, a Republican and co-author of the bill, said in a statement.

“A global problem requires a global response. Under our bill, organ collectors and traffickers, often prey on vulnerable groups such as political prisoners or ethnic minorities, whom the State Department will identify and expose in order to punish perpetrators, promote effective sanctions and restrict travel.”

“This bill will help bring more light to these horrific activities, so that the most heinous perpetrators can be named, and ultimately help put an end to this terrible human rights violation.”

The Act authorizes and stipulates:

▪ The U.S. government rejects or revoking the passports of people who illegally buy organs.

▪ Provides for The State Council to report annually on compulsory organ removal in foreign countries. The State Department report will identify foreign officials and entities responsible for the forced removal.

▪ The Commission is tasked to report annually on the training of foreign transplant surgeons in the United States who are involved in forcibly removing organs.

▪ Bans the export of surgical equipment for organ transplantation to entities responsible for forcibly harvested organs.

▪ Sanctions foreign officials and entities that engage in or otherwise support forced organ harvesting.

“For years, the Communist Party has been milking prisoners and members of ethnic and religious groups,” said Representative Tom Suozzi, Democrat of New York. And today, we still see them squeezing these communities further through organ harvesting.”

“Party members must be held accountable for these unspeakable acts. Forced organ removal has no place in our world.”
