A team of researchers sequenced the genes of human remains buried in a prehistoric tomb in Ireland about 5,000 years ago, and discovered the shocking secret of the vast tomb – a man buried in incest by either siblings or parents and children.

The team speculated that the aristocrats buried in the grand tomb used incest as a way to preserve their aristocratic lineage.
