Generous to send! Trump has designated Christmas Eve a federal holiday

U.S. President Donald Trump signed an executive order Thursday to make December 24 a federal holiday, giving federal employees a full day off with pay.

The New York Post reports that federal workers were overjoyed at the news. In previous years, when Christmas falls on A Friday on December 25, the president at the time would only give half a day off, as former President Bill Clinton did in 1998, Obama did in 2009 and 2015.

Trump, who has long advocated a big Celebration of Christmas, said politically correct Democrats want to kill it while campaigning for two Republican U.S. senators in Georgia on Tuesday.
