Senator: media not reporting Biden’s son scandal serious interference in the election

Republican Ron Johnson, chairman of the U.S. Senate Homeland Security Committee (Senate Homeland Security Committee), said the failure of social media to report the scandal of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, has caused serious interference in this election.

Hunter Biden issued a statement on Wednesday (Dec. 9) saying he is under investigation by the Delaware Attorney’s Office regarding his tax problems.

Sources familiar with the matter told The Associated Press that the tax investigation is at least partially related to his business dealings in China; authorities have actually opened the probe since 2018, but investigators did not begin contacting Hunter Biden until recently because the Justice Department objected to making the action public before the election.

During the evening’s broadcast of “Hannity” on Fox News Channel, host Sean Hannity said, “I want to keep a very, very close eye on this issue here.”

“If you get paid millions of dollars for having no experience and then your father brags on tape that he used billions of dollars of taxpayer money to give them six hours to fire the prosecutor who investigated his million dollar son who had zero experience, how is that not a deal? To me, that’s a deal.”

Ron Johnson, who was interviewed on the show, replied, “It is, and it’s an obvious thing to everybody except the mainstream media.”

He said the so-called mainstream media’s influence and interference in the election has been far greater than “any Russian interference.” “In fact, there are polls out there now,” he said, “a McClatchy poll that shows 36 percent of Biden voters have never heard of Hunter Biden because of (news) censorship and suppression. Of those, 13 percent said they would not have voted for Biden if they had known.”

“So that means that 4.6 percent of Biden voters would not have voted for him.” He continued, “That’s the huge impact that social media and our liberal biased media has had on this election. Their interference in this campaign was orders of magnitude greater than any foreign interference from Russia, China (Communist China) or Iran.”

Johnson worked with Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) on a Senate investigation into Hunter Biden’s dealings in Ukraine and China, and the potential conflicts of interest associated with them. The report, entitled “Hunter Biden, Burisma, and Corruption: The Impact on U.S. Government Policy and Related Concerns,” was released in December 2009. Policy and Related Concerns).

In an interview last month with the Epoch Times’ American Thought Leaders program, Johnson said the report was “not responded to by the media, it was basically ignored.

He said the suppression of information by mainstream media and social media companies has become a scandal. “We’ve had many years where none of the media outlets that claim to be unbiased are not slanted in terms of their investigative efforts. You can investigate anything Republican or conservative, but when it comes to investigating Democrats or liberal progressives, you’re willfully blind.”
