SpaceX Starship Crash ‘Seconds Into a Ball of Fire’ after Failing to Reach New Heights

SpaceX conducted a test flight of the Mars colony ship “Starship” in Texas on the 9th of October. The ignition process went smoothly, but an explosion occurred during landing, and the site went up in flames.

The rocket starship “SN8” was scheduled to make a test flight on the 8th to challenge a new altitude of 41,000 feet, but it was postponed due to technical problems. The three engines ignited smoothly in Boca Chica on the 9th, and then stalled about six minutes after liftoff. The test flight had a success rate of about 1 in 3, and many conditions had to be met before the starship could land.

SpaceX CEO Mr. Musk said earlier that the success rate of the test flight was about one in three, and that many conditions had to be met for the landing to go smoothly.

Musk pointed out that environmentally friendly rockets are one of the goals SpaceX has been working hard to develop, and he hopes to make it possible for the rocket to carry satellites into space, then return to the ground and be used again, which would significantly reduce the cost of space missions.
