Chinese teenagers drowning frequently reported 10 dead and 1 missing in 1 week

Ten teenagers have drowned and one is missing in one week, according to a recent report of drowning accidents among Chinese youths.

According to Chinese media reports cited by the Central News Agency on Sunday, a major drowning accident occurred in Hekou Township, Xiangtan County, Hunan Province on the afternoon of the 10th. Seven teenagers drowned while swimming in the wild, and five of them died after being taken to the hospital for emergency treatment.

According to reports, this is the second major drowning accident known to have occurred in China in 1 week. Before that, six teenagers in Yongji City, Shanxi Province, went to the Yellow River at the Shundi Dam on the afternoon of the 7th to play in the water, and all six of them drowned. Although the official sent a large number of manpower to search and rescue, but five of them were found dead, the other one is still missing.

Hunan Xiangtan Hekou town local people revealed that the major drowning accident occurred at about 2 p.m. on the 10th, the location of Hekou town and the junction of the town of YiXianHe near the LiuShuWan trickle bridge.

According to the Hekou town government and Xiangtan County Hospital personnel said that the official incident that organized a large number of search and rescue personnel rushed to the scene to rescue the drowning of five teenagers were rescued and then sent to the hospital, but they all died.

The report pointed out that the town of Hekou is located in Hunan Xiangjiang River and tributaries trickle water, Lian water system, the local flood control is one of the key areas in previous years.
