WaPo admits error! Rarely corrected report on lab poisoning suspicion resurfaces

For more than a year, the liberal mainstream media in the United States has denied that the Wuhan pneumonia (novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19) was leaked from a laboratory, calling it a “conspiracy theory. But as the White House, Congress, and experts such as “Captain Antiviral” Fauci questioned the source of the virus, the media began to address the possibility of a laboratory leak. After the liberal online media outlet Vox was caught rewriting an old article, the Washington Post corrected a February 2020 story and admitted to using the wrong words!

Last February, when Republican Senator Tom Cotton (R-TX) was talking about the theory that the virus had been leaked from a lab, the original headline of the WaPo story read: “Tom Cotton keeps repeating a coronavirus conspiracy theory even after it’s debunked. Tom Cotton keeps repeating a coronavirus conspiracy theory that was already debunked, but the WaPo corrected the wording of the story as the origins of the virus were re-examined.

The WaPo correction states, “The previous version of the story and headline inappropriately described Cotton’s comments about the origin of the coronavirus, and the paper removed the terms ‘debunked’ and ‘conspiracy theory. The paper removed the terms ‘debunked’ and ‘conspiracy theory’ because the origin of the virus appears to be inconclusive today.”

The WaPo updated the headline of the story to read, “Tom Cotton keeps repeating a coronavirus fringe theory that scientists have disputed.

Previously, Vox, a leading liberal online media outlet, was found to have surreptitiously edited a March 2020 article refuting the laboratory origin of the virus, and the left-leaning fact-checking group Politifact was forced to withdraw a “fact check. Politifact was also forced to withdraw a “fact check” because it had previously believed that the theory of the source of the ARV lab leak was wrong.

In addition to President Biden’s order for intelligence agencies to investigate the source of the outbreak, top-secret reports from U.S. laboratories and CDC Director Rochelle Walensky have pointed to the Wuhan Virus Institute in China as the possible source of the pneumoconiosis; White House chief medical adviser Fauci has also changed his tune, saying he “does not believe” the origin of the pneumoconiosis. The White House chief medical adviser “Fauci also changed his mind and said that he did not believe that the virus was of natural origin, and scientific groups also said that laboratory leaks were the likely source.

German newspaper “Süddeutsche Zeitung” recently pointed out that the U.S. mainstream media, the scientific community at the beginning of the “laboratory leaks that” the attack, it is only because of the mouth of former President Trump will become so intense. The dislike of Trump is often stronger than reason, stronger than scientific facts; and now Biden instructed the intelligence agencies to investigate this, but the mainstream media and the scientific community to acquiesce, this heavy standard practice, will damage its credibility.
