4 years ago found bottle letter owner or Titanic shipwrecked girl

A very old bottle letter was found on a beach near the Bay of Fundy in New Brunswick, Canada, in 2017. The finder speculated that it had historical value and gave it to the local university for research.

The letter was recently identified and believed to be written on the eve of the death of a girl on the sunken cruise ship Titanic more than 100 years ago, but a prank could not be ruled out.

A team led by Goyer, a history professor at the University of Quebec, speculated that the letter was written by 12-year-old schoolgirl Lefebvre on April 13, 1912. The letter reads in French: “I am going to throw the bottle into the mid-Atlantic waters, we will arrive in New York in a few days, if anyone finds it, please contact the Lefebvre family in Levant, France.” It is said that Lefebvre was traveling to New York with his mother Marie to visit his father and siblings when the accident occurred.

Goyer said excitedly that the letter may be the first Titanic artifact found on the American coast, and no trace of forgery has been found so far. Archaeologist Beaudry believes that the letter belongs to Lefebvre is only one of the inferences, but also may be a prank.
