Zhang Jian, former deputy director of Tianjin Public Security Bureau, fell yesterday (14th). He was an old subordinate of Wu Changshun, the former director of Tianjin Public Security Bureau, who was a giant corruption.
According to the CPC Tianjin Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection on May 14 news: Tianjin Binhai New Area government former party group member, deputy district governor (at the level of bureau), former deputy director of the Tianjin Municipal Public Security Bureau, Binhai New Area Public Security Bureau former party secretary and director Zhang Jian suspected of serious disciplinary violations, is currently under disciplinary review and supervisory investigation.
The information shows that Zhang Jian was born in Tianjin in July 1965, in his early years, he served as secretary of the party committee of Taiping Town, Dagang District, Tianjin, etc. In 2001, he entered the political and legal system and served as deputy secretary of the political and legal committee of Dagang District, director of the district comprehensive governance office; vice president of Dagang District Court, president, secretary of the party group, vice president of Tianjin High Court, vice president of Binhai New Area Court and other positions.
After 2011, Zhang Jian has served as a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Deputy Director and Director of the Political Department of Tianjin Municipal Public Security Bureau, and Secretary of the Party Committee of Tianjin Public Security Police Vocational College.
After 2018, Zhang Jian served as a member of the party group and deputy district governor of Tianjin Binhai New Area Government (at the level of bureau), while concurrently serving as deputy director of Tianjin Municipal Public Security Bureau and secretary of the party committee and director of Binhai New Area Public Security Bureau until his recent fall.
Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, a number of officials have fallen from power in Tianjin, including Zhang Jian’s former top boss, Wu Changshun, deputy secretary of the Tianjin Municipal Committee of Political and Legal Affairs. Wu Changshun served as deputy secretary of the Tianjin Municipal Party Committee’s Political and Legal Committee and party secretary and director of the city’s Public Security Bureau for nearly 10 years, and was investigated during his tenure in 2014 and sentenced to a suspended death sentence and life imprisonment without the possibility of commutation or parole in 2017. Officials have accused Wu Changshun of corruption of more than 538 million yuan.
The media previously disclosed that several other houses of Wu Changshun were seized at around 9 a.m. on July 20, 2014, and the residence of Wu Changshun’s daughter was also searched, with officials allegedly taking away a total of 12 trucks of stolen goods, including more than 100 million yuan in cash.
It is reported that Wu Changshun also has 4 big police mistresses, 6 illegitimate children.
