U.S. Army Commander Issues New Guidelines: Soldiers Not Vaccinated Not Issued Passes Deemed Non-Deployable

The Gateway Pundit reported Thursday, May 13, that General MG JP McGee has issued new guidelines for unvaccinated Soldiers in the 101st Airborne Division. As of today, unvaccinated Soldiers will not be able to get a pass or take a leave of absence. Insiders say unvaccinated Soldiers are now considered non-deployable.

Prior to that, there was a 20-mile limit on passes and leave policies. The source said, “This is basically leaving the sworn protection and defense of the United States with no choice but to get vaccinated. It’s absolutely embarrassing that they’re handling something like this so well.”

Clarksville Now reports that during a live town hall event, Maj. Gen. McKee announced that soldiers who choose not to be vaccinated should not “disregard business as usual” when making travel plans for this summer.

It would be irresponsible to allow soldiers to travel unvaccinated across the United States and have an impact on our soldiers, their families and our overall combat readiness,” McKee said. I’m sure that would not be a popular decision.”

Gen. McKee said he and his staff are considering a range of options, including limiting the scope of travel and increasing reporting requirements for Soldiers; however, no final decision has been made on restrictions.

Soldiers who have been fully vaccinated should expect more freedom to travel, according to McKee’s update.
