A U.S. neo-crown surveillance data show that the nation surpassed 100,000 new neo-crown cases in a single day for the first time on Wednesday (Nov. 4, 2020).
The U.S. is experiencing a new wave of new coronary infections, particularly in the Midwest and Great Plains. The data also showed that hospitalizations for new coronary patients in the U.S. surpassed 50,000 on Wednesday for the second day in a row.
The neo-crown epidemic is also resurfacing in large parts of the European continent.
In Italy, Prime Minister Rodrigo Conte announced that the country’s 20 regions would be color-coded according to the severity of the epidemic in an effort to stem the resurgence of the epidemic. Italy is imposing a nationwide curfew between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m., and museums and shopping malls are closed on weekends.
Strict closures are also being implemented in the United Kingdom, Germany, and Belgium to stop the spread of the virus.
The new wave of outbreaks on the European continent is not only affecting people. On Wednesday, the Danish government announced the destruction of 15 million farmed mink in order to minimize the risk of passing the new coronavirus from these animals to humans.
Government authorities have found lesions of the virus in 12 of the affected people. Denmark is one of the world’s largest producers of mink.
