The mainland Central Weather Station on May 6 at 6:00 a.m. issued a blue alert for sand and dust storms, which is expected from 08:00 on the 6th to 08:00 on the 7th, the western part of the southern Xinjiang basin, central and western Inner Mongolia, Ningxia, north-central Shaanxi, Shanxi, Hebei, Beijing, Tianjin, north-central Shandong, northern Henan, southern Liaoning and other places have sand or floating dust weather; among them, some areas in central Inner Mongolia have sand and dust storms, local areas have strong sand and dust storms.

The Shanghai Central Weather Station issued a blue warning of gale force winds at 9:00 a.m. on the 6th referring to the expected south to southeast winds of 4-5 with gusts of 6 during the day in Shanghai, with gusts of up to 7-8 along the coastal areas of the rivers and lakes.
