On May 2, tens of thousands of tourists flocked to Ringshawan Scenic Area in Ordos City, Inner Mongolia. At about 19:30 in the evening, there was a sudden sandstorm with seven or eight levels of wind and flying sand. Tens of thousands of tourists were trapped in the scenic area at night, scared in the sand for several hours; the return cable car suddenly stopped, and the tourists on the cable car were trapped in mid-air.
