F15EX carrier battle group and 15,000 troops to participate in the U.S. practice to fight the future of war

U.S. 2021 Northern Edge Large-Scale Joint Military Exercise

2021 “Northern Edge” (Northern Edge) large-scale joint military exercise 3 in the sea off Alaska, about 15,000 air, land and sea forces and Marines, 240 ships and aircraft, including the Air Force’s latest upgraded F-15EX warplanes to participate in the exercise.

U.S. 2021 Northern Edge Large-Scale Joint Military Exercise

Hosted by the U.S. Pacific Air Forces, the Northern Edge exercise is designed to provide high-end combat training for warplanes to develop and improve interactive capabilities as well as enhance readiness. The F-15EX of the 53rd Wing at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, will conduct the operational test. The U.S. Air Force said they will use the exercise to review for the first time the large-scale military integration of F-15EX and F-35 fighter aircraft.

The Air Force Lieutenant Colonel Mike Boyer, who is in charge of planning the exercise, said the U.S. military will take the opportunity to completely integrate all the pieces of the puzzle under its command, so that the younger generation in the military can experience first-hand what the future of war may look like, as well as the related complex situations.

The U.S. Army held the exercise, not only to strengthen readiness, but also to strengthen the ability of the four branches of the military to work together in real combat.
