Israeli airstrike on Syrian president’s hometown 1 dead, 6 wounded

Syrian state media reported today that an Israeli airstrike on the hometown of the long-ruling Assad family in northeastern Syria has killed one and injured six.

A military source told the Syrian news agency Sana that the attack on the Assad family’s hometown of Latakia came shortly after 2 a.m.

The Israeli airstrike killed one civilian and wounded six others, including a mother and son,” the source said. The incident took place at a plastic factory.

Syrian air defense systems intercepted several aggressor missiles and shot down some of them, the report said.
