A tragedy occurred in Texas, the United States, Stephens County, an old man recently pushed a lawn mower to his back garden, intended to mow the lawn, it is suspected that this alarmed the nearby bees, so they became very aggressive, swarmed the man, stinging him alive, and then attacked his wife, but fortunately the police and fire arrived in time.

According to the Daily Star, the incident occurred in Breckenridge, Stephens County, where the local fire department BFD posted on Facebook on April 27, arriving at the crime scene with police and emergency personnel to find a group of very aggressive bee activity, as well as an elderly man who had suffered a serious sting that caused his heart to stop.

First responders immediately gave first aid to the old man, but he unfortunately still died. A firefighter took off his protective gear and put it on for the old man’s wife and took her to the hospital for treatment. After the injured had left the scene, the police asked nearby residents to refrain from using noise-making equipment outdoors until the bees had regrouped and calmed down.

Local professional bee removal company (Georgia Bee Removal) operations director BobbyChaisson explained that these bees are commonly known as “killer bees” Africanized honey bees, often become very defensive and aggressive, as the case of the deceased. “When faced with these bees, the vibration of a lawn mower or children running and jumping nearby can cause them to take defensive measures.”
