Beijing Oct. 23 Two new confirmed cases imported from abroad, returned from Pakistan

According to Health Beijing’s official news, between 0000 and 2400 hours on 23 October, there were two new confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia imported from abroad. There were no new local confirmed cases, suspected cases or asymptomatic infections reported.

Case 1: a male, 46 years old, Sichuan nationality, working in Pakistan, arrived in Beijing on October 8 on flight CA946 from Pakistan, after health screening and sampling by customs, transported to the quarantine observation hotel through closed-loop management, the customs test report nucleic acid negative for new coronavirus. The patient had pharyngeal pain during the isolation and observation period, and on October 22, the neo-coronavirus nucleic acid test of pharyngeal swab was positive, which was transferred to Ditan Hospital by 120 negative-pressure ambulance; on October 23, the positive test was reviewed by the municipal CDC, and the expert group diagnosed the case as a confirmed case, and the clinical type was light.

Case 2: a male, 51 years old, Sichuan nationality, working in Pakistan, arrived in Beijing on October 8 on flight CA946 from Pakistan, after the customs health screening and sampling, transported to the isolation observation hotel through closed-loop management, the customs test report nucleic acid-negative new coronavirus. The patient had dry throat and other symptoms during the quarantine observation period, and was tested for neo-coronavirus nucleic acid in a throat swab on October 22, and the result was positive, which was transferred to Ditan Hospital by 120 negative-pressure ambulance.

The quarantine observation hotel where the above two confirmed cases lived has been disinfected.
