Ruili, Yunnan Province, has been closed for more than twenty days so far, and a new round of nucleic acid testing for the entire population began on the 22nd. Local people have told the outside world that officials are covering up the epidemic externally, but are imposing high-handed quarantine measures on the population, extending the quarantine period indefinitely.
The public: Officials say the epidemic is under control, but the opposite is true
On April 19 and 20, confirmed cases continued to appear in Ruili, and on April 22, the Ruili City Epidemic Prevention and Control Command issued a notice to conduct a new round of nucleic acid testing of the CCP virus within the urban area, prohibiting unnecessary travel and gathering activities, and continuing home quarantine after sampling.
According to an interview with the Epoch Times, Ms. Zhang, a resident of Ruili City, said, “It is still a home quarantine, and the entire Ruili city has been sealed off for more than 20 days.”
Ms. Wang, who lives on Renmin Road in Ruili, said that a friend of hers had fever symptoms and was told to be sent to a centralized quarantine, and that many people who had been to the “Sisterhood Border Trade Zone” on the upper floor of her house were asked to be quarantined, including those who are not diagnosed now.
Mr. He, a villager from Mengmao Township, Ruili City, said: “In the Sisterhood area, patrols were asked to check from house to house without missing a dead end. I heard that there are many confirmed cases in the area.”
Mr. He revealed that the official media announced the news of the epidemic in the past few days is to say that “the epidemic in Ruili is basically under control”, but local people know that “a case suddenly emerged, where is this completely under control, and then add the beginning of the investigation, each household to investigate their work mistakes, where is this like They said in those mouths (basically under control).”
Authorities fail to media cover-up
He believes that the epidemic in Ruili is directly related to the malfeasance of Communist Party officials. “That case yesterday (19th) actually did not do nucleic acid once, the city has done it up to seven or eight times, those government functionaries are still malfeasance, work irresponsible. Originally planned for the 21st to start the kind of place that is not high-risk slowly unsealed, and then yesterday suddenly came out again a case.”
Mr. He said that person once nucleic acid testing has not been done, but someone at home isolated well, there is no sudden situation, there is no symptom of infection, but was asked by the government people to go again (centralized) isolation. “I really don’t understand how these people are doing things.” He said.
Mr. He added, “The ten service numbers they (authorities) announced on Shake, I called a few days ago and none of them could get through, either the line was occupied or no one answered, and suddenly someone answered and immediately hung up, and very few people could get through.”
He said: “The work is not in place even if it is, and then to the media, to the public also cover up, with a cloth to wipe shy which they do not do in place, which in the eyes of our people even a little credibility. Now and indefinitely extend the quarantine period.”
Mr. He learned that, because the confirmed cases on the 19th did not do the nucleic acid test, now the local government began a major investigation. “Every household, into where people live, and then see if there are people hiding under the beds, inside the kitchen.”
Quarantined people living conditions are worrying
Mr. He also disclosed: “Some time ago someone jumped off a building, can not stand this with the prison (isolation); some people are in a trance, all day is that; there are people and those who work staff fuss, this kind of thing is also a lot. Ms. Zhang said, “Now the whole Ruili urban area are particularly strict, out caught will educate you, do not listen to education will go to the bureau for two days.”
The people who were asked to isolate are now living in a worrying situation. Mr. He said that in the sudden closure of the city of Sister Gong, some tourists, take-away boys, stalls selling vegetables, going to the jewelry market, can not return to Ruili, was sealed there, can only live in Sister Gong’s hotel, all the costs are their own, the government does not care.
He said: “They are particularly high prices of food and accommodation, accommodation, then a day of one hundred and two, one hundred and fifty ah, eating, two dishes are 70 to 80 dollars, the cost of a day is two or three hundred.
