Biden’s transportation secretary spills the beans: Americans are using the “wrong” form of transportation, or not using transportation at all

Breitbart News reported Friday that U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg told reporters at the White House that afternoon that Americans are using the “wrong” form of transportation and said Biden’s $2.3 trillion infrastructure plan would address the problem.

Buttigieg also claimed that some Americans simply can’t use transportation. He added that Americans will again be “challenged” to expand their ideas about infrastructure, which he said goes far beyond roads and bridges.

Americans are spending too much money on transportation, and spending it wrong,” Buttigieg said. And the will of the American people is clear, regardless of party, they want us to finish the job, not tinker with it. As a nation, we’ve met this challenge before, and building bold infrastructure has been at the heart of the American story. We built the Erie Canal, we built the transcontinental railroad to connect east and west, and we developed the interstate highway system. Each of these projects has been bold and transformative, expanding the concept of infrastructure. In doing so, these projects have changed our country for the better.”

But Buttigieg did not explain what the “wrong way to get around” is. He assured workers that the infrastructure of the future will still require “workers who are good with steel” and that the new jobs created by infrastructure construction will not be too “futuristic.
