Former U.S. President Donald Trump (Trump), former first lady Melania and son Barron (Barron) appeared at the same time at the Sea Lake estate (Mar-a-Lago) before Easter, ushering in a warm welcome from the public present. It was the first time the family of three was seen by the public after Trump left office.
Members of the Sea Lake Manor Club were excited to see the Trump family, and there was immediate applause, with some standing up to welcome them, some cheering and others shouting, “Mr. President!”
The video was posted on Instagram on Friday (April 2) and marks the first time the former president’s family of three has been seen together in public since leaving the White House. (To see the related video, click here.)
While Trump has occasionally been seen by the public since leaving office, his youngest son Barron has been out of the public eye for months, including Trump’s farewell party on Jan. 20. Melania has been trying to protect Barron from the media spotlight.
Last month, Melania reportedly tweeted a message celebrating Barron’s 15th birthday.
Although Trump has left office, he still issues statements from time to time through the 45th president’s office and the Save America Political Action Committee.
Trump urged people to boycott Major League Baseball (MLB), Coca-Cola, Delta Air Lines and other companies that have spoken out against election reform in Georgia on April 3.
MLB announced that it was pulling the All-Star Game from Atlanta, citing a boycott of the Georgia election reform law; in addition, major companies such as Delta Air Lines, Coca-Cola and Merck, under pressure from radical Democratic activist Stacey Abrams, have issued statements critical of the Georgia election reform law.
Gov. Brian Kemp signed the law into law late last month, requiring absentee ballots to be accompanied by a photo ID, the same requirement for in-person voters, and requiring increased security at ballot boxes. Republicans say the law will restore confidence in the state’s elections, but Democrats claim it will restrict voting access.
Trump also issued a blessing during Easter, wishing everyone a happy Easter.
