Perseverance has captured the spectacle of a “rainbow” on Mars.
Rainbows are formed by the scattering of sunlight by water droplets in the air, and are theoretically impossible in dry, waterless places such as deserts.
But the U.S. space agency (NASA) Mars probe Perseverance (Perseverance), the latest photo returned, there is a rainbow hanging high in the Martian sky image, it is puzzling.
The Mars suspected rainbow spectacle photo, taken by the left lens of Perseverance, shot at 3:14 p.m. U.S. time on Sunday (4).
The picture clearly shows a bow-shaped line from the left side of the picture extended to the zenith, and show a light rainbow of seven colors.
NASA has not yet given any explanation for the vision in the photo, making the truth more confusing.
