The Chinese Communist Party has been making frequent moves in the South China Sea recently, attempting to expand its sovereignty by deploying a large number of ships and building artificial islands in the disputed waters, and last month, more than 200 Chinese ships were moored off Whitsun Reef, prompting serious protests from the Philippines and Vietnam and tensions at sea. In response, the international community not only protested with joint military exercises, but the U.S. military website reported on the 5th that the U.S. Coast Guard and Marine Corps will join forces with the invaded countries to fight the Chinese Communist Party.
The military website “military.com” reported that the U.S. Coast Guard is currently deploying five law enforcement vessels from Pearl Harbor, including two of the most advanced “Legend-class” national security patrol vessels, to the Western Pacific and other waters, trying to work with the U.S. Marine Corps to confront Chinese maritime police vessels and militia active in the waters. The militia will not only combat illegal fishing activities, but also counter the aggressive actions of the Chinese Communist Party at sea.
The report mentioned that the U.S. Coast Guard and Marine Corps officers in November last year, in a joint article published at the Brookings Institution, proposed a program that includes the Coast Guard, the U.S. Navy and the Marine Corps can work closely together to jointly enforce the law in the region in the event of an armed conflict between China and a neighboring country over an exclusive economic zone dispute.
However, the recent international countermeasures against the Chinese Communist Party are not only that. Knowing that the Chinese Communist Party is carrying out resource exploration activities in the Indian Ocean, France on the 5th in collaboration with the “Quadrilateral Security Dialogue” (Quad) members of the United States, Japan, Australia and India, in the Bay of Bengal to conduct joint military exercises.
In this regard, some Indian scholars pointed out that the Chinese Communist Party should worry about such as Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines and other ASEAN countries, if they intend to join the Quad dialogue, willing to provide their own naval bases for other countries to use, the Chinese Communist Party will face a more serious situation.
