On August 9, 2019, the fresh meat led by Lu Han released Shanghai Fortress, which had lasted for more than 180 days and failed completely to change the law of Wandering Earth led by Wu Jing and Liu Cixin.
China’s science fiction officially went into extinction, the history of science fiction, called the Hundred Days Reform.

After this day, the major platforms all have compassionate, appeared cat eye 6.5, Taoyuan votes 6.1, Douban 3.4 of the unified feast.
In the 1980s, the Japanese special features, such as “Ultraman fighting monsters” as a measure of the standard, “Shanghai Fortress” plot is smooth, acting online, costumes, make-up and props are all excellent, special effects are surprisingly good.
So the low rating must be deliberate, these people are too dedicated to three platforms in a row to maliciously brush off bad reviews, it’s simply idle.
Can you blame them? No, it was because of them that we learned the new word “space fortress”, which means the act of watching Shanghai Fortress when one has too much time on one’s hands.

The famous screenwriter Wang Hailin, who has been repeatedly beaten in the face, once again proves that the formula “IP + traffic = bad movies” still applies.
Shanghai Fortress should be a milestone movie that will show Chinese filmmakers that acting is an actor’s job and screenwriting is important to movies.
If you want to make money standing up, you should at least let the bullets fly for a while, and if they fall on the ground, they will be rotten.

It is claimed to be a new type of Chinese sci-fi war movie, after the sci-fi disaster movie of “Wandering Earth” and the sci-fi comedy of “Mad Aliens”.
It’s a science fiction film, but it’s not, because the only one in the film that can be called science fiction is probably Shanghai’s Lu Shen, but it seems to be classified under the disaster genre.

It is a romance film in science fiction, but the only element of love exists mostly in the monologue and reverie of the main character Jiang Yang (played by Lu Han).
The opportunity given to him by his superiors is like a specific task, and the romance between the two is more like a Sicilian legend than something to be watched but not played with.
Moreover, the legend has neither Monica Bellucci’s stature and appearance, nor the portraits of human beings, and of course, they both have a big-time background.
It is just that one is real and the other is false, and the false is all that remains to be said about it.

Captain Pan and Yi Lu of the Greyhawk team are the most inexplicable in love in the movie, and if their team members don’t say anything, it’s hard to tell that these two have a relationship line.
The scene where she and Jiang Yang talk about their hearts outside the bar makes it seem like the sister is secretly in love with Jiang Yang, and a love triangle will be played out between her and Captain Pan.

There is also Yang Jiannan who controls the Shanghai cannon, except for one line during the awarding of the medal, “There is someone I love here”, and then nothing happens.
Lin Lan (played by Shu Qi) is given a shot to give the audience a fanciful idea that there is a love scene between them, but the whole movie is not even a text message is sent, not to mention multiple meetings.

Through the little people to highlight the confusion of the big time, by the little people’s emotions to take care of the sadness of the big time, this move, they move very failed, and lost very thoroughly.
The science fiction film is not hard enough, the disaster film is not a sample, the romance film even the basic elements of love is not, thought to be the love of the city, but found that the city dumped, love is also gone.
I thought it was a love story, but I found that the city was falling, and the love was gone. Which category should such a movie be in? To be more precise, it is an extended long version of the music video for the cover of “The End of the World” by Luhan.

As for the acting part, there’s really no need to waste space on it, as most bad movies have some of the actors acting badly, while the others are quite acceptable.
However, Shanghai Fortress has set a precedent in that everyone’s acting is at the same level.

More than one veteran actor has said that there are only bad movies without bad characters.
Luhan’s crush on Lin Lan is not only conveyed through his eyes, but also other tangled, unwilling and sad emotions.
It’s not just about the cover of the magazine, it’s also about the coolness of the look, but also about the fact that he only uses one expression to fight the world.

The image doesn’t fit, the layer of heavy bangs and wind-blown hairstyle was mocked many times when the movie was first released, and the explanation given was that he was a former college student who was temporarily transferred to the army while in the reserves.
At first glance, it seems to make sense, but if you take a closer look, you’ll see why other students who were in the same college as Jiang Yang had to cut their hair and he didn’t. Only one thing explains his family’s decision to cut his hair.
There is only one thing that can be said about him: his family has a very hard backstage, and he is the type of person who has people at the top. I am really worried that children who see this movie in the cinema will have serious misunderstandings about the image of Chinese soldiers.
In fact, Luhan’s starting point of acting is quite high. He just came back from Korea and participated in the movie “Back to Twenty” with a great attitude.
In the movie, he plays a student who loves music, a hobby that is not uncontroversial in the eyes of his parents, but he is stubborn and insists on it.
In Luhan’s portrayal, the young man is a bit gangster, but in fact he is a good boy at heart, and at the same time he is kind and sunny, so the Luhan in Return to 20 is at least not embarrassing.

After that, in “I am a Witness” and “The Ferryman”, Luhan’s position was this kind of clean singer image, which fit him well and he could hold it well.
However, when the roles changed and no longer matched his own temperament, Luhan was not able to adapt, such as The Great Wall, Tomb Raider, …….
This is the way Luhan must go as an actor, and also the result that he only wants to make quick money as a flow, if he still uses lack of time as an excuse, in the end, “only bad movies, no bad roles” will only become a cover for their marketing persona.

Luhan’s acting is bad, and Shu Qi is not much better.
Shanghai Fortress is probably the worst acting movie I’ve ever seen starring Shu Qi, except for Jade Empress, Spirit and Lust, and a few scenic movies shot on the beach.
Maybe she was so busy texting “Sleep well, good night” with Luhan that she forgot about acting.

The acting skills aside, the dialogues are not up to par either.
It’s not a big deal, but if every actor in the entire movie can’t match his or her mouth, can they really flaunt their craftsmanship?
Even when the actor shuts up, there are still voices coming out, probably because of the crew’s original ventriloquist style of dialogue, it really is a science fiction movie, even the reading of the dialogue is so futuristic.

Luhan’s monologue is more like an emotional reading of the text and recitation of the full text, Shu Qi’s Taiwanese accent jumps out of the scene, and the commander-in-chief, as the commander-in-chief, is full of youthful lines.
Even the most fervent “fire me” in the movie has the feeling of a punch on cotton.
If this were a movie from the 60s, it would be strictly classified as a blockbuster in today’s perspective, because it was ahead of its time.
But, it’s 2019, so take heart.

There are also many bugs in the plot, to take the most obvious example.
The relic box, which is guaranteed to stay intact for a hundred years, has to be unlocked by the palm print of the person himself, which is an ironclad way of not letting outsiders know what they have left behind.
In the last five minutes of the battle, the commander-in-chief told them to leave what they wanted to leave behind for posterity.
It’s not all the Commander-in-Chief’s fault, it’s the end of the world and he needs to bring a little joy to a depressing day.

Of course there is, Jay Chou’s “The End of the World” is really good, but the money is better left to buy Fuling Pickles.

Jiang Nan himself said it was a millet and rifle work, the implication should be to affirm the Shanghai Fortress is the property of bad movies, and the creators only talk about effort not quality, because they themselves are wasted.
A six-year science fiction masterpiece, what they didn’t expect is that during these six years, the flow of traffic from the heyday to the paste only with a few movies and TV series.
The money is not good anymore, and the people are all smart, but actually they are not smart but more concerned about the quality, so they can only play the emotion card, but you were all laughing very happily when you had a good time in the bar in Shanghai.

If there are people who haven’t seen Shanghai Fortress, I suggest you to play the classic mini-game – “Airplane Wars” first, and you will find that the mini-game can also be made into a movie.
Then you will be able to fully understand the heart and effort that went into Shanghai Fortress.
By the way, there are different bosses in different levels.
