China’s military tiger has reappeared. on April 4, Yin Jiaxu, the former party secretary and chairman of China Arms Industry Group Co.
Yin Jiaxu, 65, a native of Chongqing, is a doctoral candidate. Yin Jiaxu was the director of Chongqing Yuzhou Gear Factory; the office director and deputy director of Southwest Bureau of Military Industry since 1996, and the executive vice president, vice chairman, general manager, deputy secretary of the party committee and executive director of Changan Automobile (Group) Company.
Since January 2002, Yin Jiaxu has been the vice general manager, member of the party group and deputy secretary of the party group of China Armament Equipment Corporation, and also the chairman, general manager, deputy secretary of the party committee and secretary of the party committee of Changan Automobile (Group) Company (until December 2007); since December 2005, he has also been the president of China Southern Industry Automobile Co. Since October 2009, in addition to serving as deputy general manager and deputy secretary of the party group of China National Armament Corporation, he also served as vice chairman of Changan Automobile Group Company Limited; from July 2010 to 2013, he served as secretary of the party group and deputy general manager of China National Armament Corporation; from 2013 to 2018, he served as secretary of the party group and chairman of the board of China National Armament Corporation.
According to China Automotive News, Yin Jiaxu could have been secretary of the party group and chairman of the board of China Arms Industry Corporation until he retired at the age of 65, but according to him, it was he who took the initiative to retire early.
The year after Yin Jiaxu’s retirement, that is, in March 2019, the third round of inspections by the 19th CPC Central Committee began to inspect three central units and 42 medium-sized enterprises, and the fifth inspection group of the Central Committee was stationed at China Armament Equipment Corporation and China Armament Industry Corporation.
It is reported that China Arms Industry Group is the largest weapons and equipment manufacturing group in China, authorized by the State Council of the Communist Party of China to manage the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, mainly involved in the development of tanks and armored vehicles, as well as the supply of ammunition. It has 46 subgroups and directly managed units, and has dozens of overseas branches around the world.

Hu Wenming, former secretary of the party group and chairman of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation, was removed and retired in August 2019, and fell on May 12, 2020.
