Analysis: Communist heresy ‘critical race theory’ floods U.S. campuses

The online magazine American Thinker published an article Friday (April 2) by an anonymous high school administrator saying that “critical race theory,” which uses race as an excuse to undermine the foundations of traditional norms and values, is intended to fundamentally change every aspect of American society, and that this Communist heresy has now reached all levels of American public education. American patriots must fight or there will be no Republic left.

The following is a translation of his analytical article.

Like a cancerous tumor spreading and metastasizing in the body, Critical Race Theory (CRT) and its variants, including social justice, diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), anti-racism, cultural competence, and implicit bias, have poisoned all aspects of public education and even some private schools. These philosophies of hate and racism have become entrenched at all levels and in all aspects of American public education.

Critical race theory is based on the belief that America is a systematically racist nation, stratified by race, and that the bottom rung is black. In order to end America’s inherent racism, whites must recognize that because of the color of their skin, they enjoy certain privileges in American society that “people of color” do not. Once this is recognized, American society can begin to completely smash all institutions and recreate new ones to achieve equality, or equal outcomes, for all. This heresy of fundamentally changing every aspect of American society is communism, which uses race as a pretext to undermine the foundations of traditional norms and values.

Critical race theory was developed in the 1970s by Professor Derrick Bell of Harvard Law School to challenge what he saw as the inherent racism of America that permeated all aspects of society, especially the law. While Bell focused on the justice system, the law, and society as a whole, critical race theory was extended to education through scholars such as Gloria Ladson-Billings and Daniel Solórzano. These theorists claimed that the American education system was systematically racist for the following reasons: school curricula were dominated by white historical narratives and ignored black history; testing instruments were biased and created to prove that non-white children could not achieve well; and school disciplinary actions were disproportionately applied to children of color compared to their white peers.

Critical race theorists knew that the most important way to achieve the devastating change they sought was through indoctrination of elementary and secondary school students. Beginning with the curriculum, critical race theory and its variants were promoted by teachers’ unions, implemented by teachers, adopted by school district administrations, and approved by school boards. Followers of critical race theory knew they could not immediately implement its agenda in every public school system and that a step-by-step approach was necessary, especially in more conservative communities.

As a high school administrator in one of these communities, I am experiencing all of this in my career right now. Professional development training for faculty and administrators is an insidious way to introduce social justice and anti-racism education into the school system. This is done quietly at the beginning of the school year and throughout the school year. During these mandatory trainings, school staff are only passive listeners and avoid the concerns of the communities they serve. The training is usually conducted by DEI consultants. These consultants, often professors from a local university hired by the district, indoctrinate the staff on how “white privilege” leads white teachers to treat non-white students differently, without the teachers realizing that this is happening. Weak-minded, emotionally charged staff members who are prone to believe such rude statements become self-loathing.

Starting with national professional education associations, such as the School Boards Association and the National Association of Secondary School Principals, and continuing through state departments of education, support for this fundamental change has reached all levels of the public education system. Through the influence and advocacy of these organizations, critical race theory and its variants have gained the support of school boards, school administrators, and teachers. It is only a matter of time before American schools are fully transformed. The question that must be answered is how to prevent the complete indoctrination and transformation of our schoolchildren into radical “awakening” activists?

The answer is that it is not easy. The fight against this racist madness begins with the parents. Like-minded parents must first communicate and organize in their communities. After organizing, these parents must then attend local school board meetings in large numbers. Parents have the right to ask their elected school board members about the professional development of the staff and the curriculum for their children. If school board members are unwilling to answer these questions or have voted to implement “judgmental race theory” or a variation thereof in staff development or curriculum, they should be removed from office and support school board candidates in the community with traditional values.

In addition to influencing school boards, parents and concerned citizens must also engage in dialogue with their legislators at the state level to develop legislation that eliminates or discourages the use of Critical Race Theory and its variants in staff development and curriculum in schools. All state legislatures are responsible for funding and approving curricula in their public schools, as is necessary. However, radicals who support critical race theory will try to destroy the reputation and careers of politicians or school officials who reject this racist ideology, which makes many legislators reluctant to engage in this fight unless they feel intense pressure to do so.

Supporters of critical race theory and its variants are very active, high-decibel, and organized. They will go to great lengths to impose their ideas on the communities in which they live, such as what is happening between two parent groups in Virginia. Therefore, this protest is both difficult and crucial. If every American patriot in every community refrains from participating in this struggle out of fear, the consequence will be fewer opportunities for all Americans and the end of our beloved republic that has existed for over 200 years.
