Local outbreak resumes, 29 more people infected in Yunnan, city closed for a week

A local outbreak of the Chinese communist virus (Wuhan pneumonia) has resurfaced in China, with 6 confirmed cases and 23 asymptomatic infections in Ruili City, Yunnan Province yesterday (March 31), following a local case on March 30.

According to the Yunnan Provincial Health Commission, between 0:00 and 24:00 on March 31, there were 6 new confirmed cases and 23 new asymptomatic infections in Yunnan Province, all in Ruili City.

As of 24:00 on March 31, there were 15 confirmed cases and 45 asymptomatic infections in the province.

Among the confirmed cases, 4 are Chinese and 2 are Burmese, while 13 Chinese and 10 Burmese are asymptomatic.

Starting at 9:30 p.m. on March 30, the city of Ruili, Yunnan Province, was suddenly declared closed, with police cars patrolling the streets and broadcasting to residents along the streets, asking all residents to immediately quarantine their homes.

Ruili 31 again announced the closure of the city for a tentative period of 1 week.

Ruili is China’s largest land trade port to Burma trade, people travel closely, China’s large-scale closure of the city action, triggering external suspicions that the epidemic is more severe than the official statement.
