Gloria I. Chavez, head of the Border Patrol in El Paso, Texas, said an agent captured the incident on a remote camera, which showed a man straddling the border fence, bending over to lift a toddler from one side of the fence and then gently dropping him from the other side. The man quickly jumped down and left with another person from the Mexican end.
Chavez said, “We are currently in contact with the Mexican side of the law enforcement unit to try to find these ruthless smugglers and make them receive the most serious sanctions under the law.”
Recently, illegal immigrants across the U.S.-Mexico border incidents are frequently reported, as many Parents only send their children to the border, expecting the U.S. authorities to eventually assist in placing them in the homes of local relatives; also therefore the Biden administration must face hundreds of undocumented children every day with no place to put the problem, the shelter is overcrowded, forcing the relevant units to find alternative arrangements.
Authorities noted that agents in Santa Teresa found two young children abandoned in a remote area west of El Paso, New Mexico.
Both children were taken to a hospital for examination and are currently being held in a temporary detention center on the Border Patrol pending follow-up arrangements with the federal Department of health (HHS).
