On Monday, March 29, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said at a press conference that it is unacceptable to use vaccine passports to restrict people’s freedom to conduct social activities and that he will take urgent action to resist the practice in Florida.
In response to the Biden administration’s vaccine passport program, DeSantis made it clear that he does not support it. He said it is totally unacceptable for the government or private sector to require proof of “vaccination” when people go out to games, movies, theme parks or other social events. He argued that “people have a certain amount of freedom to make their own decisions.”
DeSantis said that while he does not believe the practice is for bad purposes, it will ultimately cause problems in Florida. He urged the Florida state legislature to take more permanent action to resist vaccine passports.
Earlier this month, DeSantis expressed his opposition to the vaccine passport, saying it was a bad idea and “completely out of the question” in Florida. He said at the Time, “If a business wants to do that in Florida, I think that’s well beyond a private decision.”
Naomi Wolf, an adviser to former President Clinton, told Fox News on Sunday (March 28) that a mandatory Wuhan pneumonia (Chinese Communist virus) vaccine passport would end human freedom in the West if it goes ahead as planned. In particular, Wolf noted that a vaccine passport would be one step closer to the “social credit scoring” system implemented by the Chinese Communist Party in China to monitor people.
