Two new local cases of new crowns were diagnosed in Shanghai.

The Shanghai Municipal Government Information Office’s WeChat public number “Shanghai Press Release” announced in the evening of the 20th that the Pudong New Area Health Committee reported two new cases of new coronary pneumonia in the afternoon of the 20th, and that the two were husband and wife; however, an unconfirmed screenshot circulated in the WeChat circle of friends in the evening, pointing out that one of the confirmed male patients was a security officer at the cargo terminal of Shanghai Pudong Airport.

According to a Shanghai release, the two confirmed cases, a 39-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman, were in a husband-and-wife relationship, who had fever and went to the hospital fever clinic and were immediately isolated for investigation.

At 9:00 p.m. on the evening of the 20th, the CDC neo-coronavirus nucleic acid test results were positive. The municipal expert consultation, combined with clinical and imaging manifestations and laboratory nucleic acid test results, diagnosed a confirmed case of neo-coronavirus pneumonia.

Unconfirmed screenshots of a WeChat conversation with an airport security officer working at Shanghai Pudong Airport, who last worked the night shift from the 15th to the early morning of the 16th and has not entered the airport cargo terminal since, were found to be positive, while his wife works at a hospital in Pudong.

The Health Times reported that a man wearing glasses recorded a video on his cell phone on the 20th saying, “I’m in the inpatient department of Nanhui Hospital, and a new crown patient was found on the upper floor of this inpatient department, so the whole building was sealed off.” The video has been circulated on the Internet in the evening of the 20th.

Nanhui Central Hospital said that the hospital has not received any news yet, and the emergency room is still able to receive patients normally, and staff said that they would still have to look at the official reports on the Internet to get definitive information.

Other hospital staff said that if patients want to seek treatment on the 21st, they need to call the hospital switchboard at 8 a.m. on the 21st and ask for details.
