Taiwan and the United States announced on Friday (26) the signing of the “Memorandum of Understanding on the Establishment of a Maritime Patrol Working Group” after the Chinese Communist Party‘s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) sent 20 military aircraft around Taiwan, breaking the record for the highest number of single-day flyovers. Taiwan’s Executive President Su Tseng-chang criticized the communist planes for wasting national power by disturbing Taiwan and called on the Chinese Communist Party to spend more power on taking care of the people. Presidential spokesman Zhang Dunhan said that China’s military actions are not conducive to regional peace and stability. Su said: we all know that the world is one, the people are the most hope for peace, live in peace and work, any country militaristic, a waste of national power, worry about the people, and as a democracy, freedom concept value of the same country, we are one with the United States and neighboring countries that love freedom, democratic values, in order to maintain regional peace to do efforts. What we just signed with the United States is also to do efforts to maintain regional peace and stability. As for the constant disturbance of Taiwan by Chinese military aircraft, it is really a waste of its national power and unnecessary. We also call on China to use more power in taking care of its people, (it is) its people’s (hope).
The president’s spokesman Zhang Dunhan said that the national army and national security units have a complete grasp of the situation, but also to make relevant responses to ensure the peace of the Taiwan Strait.
The unilateral military provocations by the Chinese authorities in Beijing will not help the peace and stability of the region, nor will they help the development of cross-strait relations, nor will they be supported by the people of Taiwan. Beijing is responsible for the “normalization” of common aircraft around Taiwan

An unnamed spokesman for the U.S. State Department, responding to a reporter’s inquiry, said that Washington is sternly urging Beijing to stop pressuring Taiwan militarily, diplomatically and economically. The spokesman stressed that Beijing should engage in meaningful dialogue with Taiwan.
The PLA sent a total of 20 military aircraft into Taiwan’s southwest air defense identification zone (ADIZ) on Friday. This time is the most number of military aircraft circling Taiwan in a single day by the Chinese Communist Party since the Ministry of National Defense of Taiwan announced daily news of PLA aircraft circling Taiwan in mid-September 2020, breaking the record. The CPC military aircraft circling Taiwan include: two Carrier 8 anti-submarine aircraft, one Air Marshal 500, four Boom 6K, 10 J16, two J10, and one Carrier 8 technical reconnaissance aircraft, of which the Boom 6K and Carrier 8 anti-submarine aircraft are the few that enter southeastern Taiwan.
According to military information, on September 19, 2020, when then-U.S. State Department Under Secretary Clark and former Japanese Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori visited Taiwan and attended the memorial service for former President Lee Teng-hui, the Chinese Communist Party sent 19 military planes around Taiwan, and the day before, on September 18, there were also 18 PLA planes that broke into Taiwan’s southwest air defense identification zone.
