A new law on water cannons and Germany’s righteous turn to the left?

German people rally to protest, police use water cannon to disperse protesters at Brandenburg Gate, Nov. 18, 2020

Two sensational events took place in Berlin on November 18. The German Bundestag and Bundesrat quickly passed an amendment to the Infection Protection Act and, by a majority vote, decided that Germany is still officially in a state of emergency over the epidemic. Protests against the bill and the “horizontal thinking” of a semi-blockade policy against the Chinese Communist virus (Wuhan pneumonia) numbered more than 10,000, with police using water cannons to disperse protesters starting at noon and continuing into the night.

The controversial amendment to the Infection Protection Act was passed in the German Bundestag by 415 votes in favor, 236 against, and 8 abstentions. At the same time, Parliament voted 423 in favor, 91 against, and 134 abstentions, extending the official state of emergency in Germany since March of this year.

Why did the amendment passed by the German Bundestag cause so many public protests? The so-called third law, the Protecting People in the Event of an Outbreak of National Significance Act, or the Infection Protection Act, is similar to the Enabling Act. This law allows the federal government to restrict important fundamental rights on a large scale and indefinitely, without parliamentary control. For example, the Minister of Health may authorize the Federal Ministry of Health to bypass Parliament in the event of an “epidemic of national importance” by enacting its own legislation.

Thus, by passing this law, the Bundestag has relinquished its power. The government added Article 28a to the original Article 28, incorporating into the law a number of specific provisions that had hitherto been in place, such as the prohibition on going out, communicating with the outside world, conducting business or trade, prohibiting or restricting overnight stays, prohibiting religious meetings, and travel restrictions.

Does this look familiar to you? It seems to be getting closer and closer to the way the Chinese Communist Party is fighting the Chinese virus (Wuhan pneumonia).

While the congressmen were discussing this in the Reichstag, tens of thousands of Germans were confronting the police in front of the Brandenburg Gate, and despite the fact that the police had been spraying water cannons over the crowd since 12:30 p.m. in the dead of November, and despite the fact that the water cannon trucks were taking turns refilling the water, the protesters, who looked peaceful on the screen, did not take many steps back. Those in the front row put their hands up to show that they were nonviolent. People were removed by the police for being verbally and physically aggressive.

German blogger S commented that our protesting citizens get drenched with water cannons and then they all get colds, coughs, and fevers! And indoors (in Congress) they are debating infection and health protection! How ironic!

User Evi Deelwater thinks it’s a shame that Germany is heading for dictatorship!

At present, the forces on the left in Germany are very openly taking a stand, including the political world, large conglomerates and the mainstream media. The German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, congratulated Biden on his election, once is not enough, even twice.

Today, Germany’s Channel 2 (ZDF) presents a short film by Ulf Röller, its Beijing correspondent, boasting that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has survived the epidemic relatively unscathed compared to other countries.

Ulf Röller praised the CCP’s “epidemic prevention” measures, saying that the key to the CCP’s success in suppressing the CCP virus (Wuhan pneumonia) was “based on large-scale control” and that “only an authoritarian state can do that,” implying that “only tough and strict controls can defeat the epidemic.

What the journalist failed to mention was that the CCP hid the death statistics for Wuhan and the entire country from the world, failing to mention how people lined up every day in front of funeral homes to receive the ashes of their loved ones. Because each funeral home has a limited number of places to receive ashes each day, some families have to wait months to receive a share of God knows who’s ashes. He also failed to mention that it was the Chinese Communist Party’s cover-up that caused the global outbreak of the Chinese Communist virus, which forced the whole world to face the catastrophe. What he failed to mention is that in many parts of China, the Chinese Communist virus has made a comeback.

Many knowledgeable people in Germany have realized that something is wrong with society as a whole, and are accelerating their descent into authoritarianism. The mainstream media’s lopsided smear campaign against the large protest rallies that are taking place across Germany every week is causing even more discontent.

Hansjörg Müller (MdB/AfD), a member of Parliament from Germany’s Option Party, joined the rally of Horizontal Thinking in front of the Brandenburg Gate and said, “Our country and the rule of law are now on shaky ground. He said that the German economy was already in recession at the beginning of the year, and that the outbreak of the Chinese Communist Party virus (Wuhan pneumonia) had covered it up, and that the people and big corporations really responsible for the recession were hiding behind the truth.

“In German history, there was a situation similar to today’s, a totalitarian rule. We had 1933 (totalitarian rule in Nazi Germany), we don’t need 2020 (a new totalitarian rule), let’s not repeat Germany’s history.” Rep. Miller said, “A real democratic movement now like in East Germany in 1989, confronting unjust totalitarianism with peace, freedom and non-violence and limiting totalitarian rule through democracy, the people.”

“We are the people, we are the people!” He led the chant, and the people followed. The slogan “We are the people” was first chanted during the 1989-1990 demonstrations in East Germany on Monday to protest against the communist government of East Germany.

Meanwhile in the Reichstag, Democrat MP Carsten Schneider, speaking, began by complaining that demonstrators were blocking the entrance to the Reichstag. He concluded his remarks by saying, “To play a historically similar trick like this, as you have done, not only discredits our democracy, but also makes it shameful, which is exactly what you want. We reject it!”

When I saw the DP MP’s indignant speech, I was reminded of the millions of Hong Kong people singing “Do you hear the people sing” and the German people who would rather take water cannon than retreat.

It makes one wonder if the senators who voted for the passage of the amendment really didn’t hear the German people’s voice. Do you really think it’s just a few thugs and far-right activists running amok? Are you really blind to the tens of thousands of people and the large peaceful protests that have been taking place every weekend since May in every major and medium-sized city in Germany? Or would you rather play deaf and dumb and continue to lead your country to the left, straight into the arms of communism?

We can carry a boat as well as reverse it. You should know that the fall of the Berlin Wall was not ordered by the Communist Party of East Germany; it was really the fall of the wall.
