I have been in the habit of getting up early every morning to read for five whole years. It’s not so much that I like to read, but rather that I can’t live without books. The books that I read every day have been transformed into something of my own over the years. Whenever I encounter problems at work or in life, they give me more strength.
In this world, there is probably nothing that can help me so richly and practically as a book. It is like a seasoned veteran who shows me the way forward, or a shoulder to shoulder companion who gives me timely comfort and encouragement.
The act of reading may not be unique, but it has provided me with an inner spiritual nourishment.
It allows me to live a life sunny and positive enough to have the ability to heal myself, no matter how busy or tired I am at my day job. It also allows me to live tough and courageous enough to not feel pessimistic and despairing, no matter what troubles and problems I encounter. It has also allowed me to live openly and wisely, so that no matter what important decisions I face, I rarely complain or struggle.

Every day when I get home from work, I like to read for a while in peace. When I’m immersed in the world of reading, I’m able to sweep away the fatigue and tiredness of the day.
For me, the great meaning of reading is to relax myself. In front of a book, I don’t have to have too many restrictions, I don’t have to know people I don’t want to know, I don’t have to say things I don’t want to say, and I don’t have to do things I don’t want to do. Reading gives me more choice and freedom to meet my favorite characters, to learn about my favorite stories, and to better understand and enrich myself through the experiences of others.
Reading is the least expensive investment we can all make in our journey of growth. As long as you open a book and immerse yourself in its world, you can talk, you can listen, and you can contemplate or introspect.
If work and life are meant to keep us adapting to society and learning about others, then reading is precisely about understanding ourselves better, learning to live with ourselves, and ultimately living the way we want to live.

Whenever I’m alone, I always like to pick up a book and read it. Whether it’s a sleepless night or a time when I have something to talk about, books are my best confidant.
When I feel sad, I go to read some positive energy books to get stronger beliefs and support from others’ inspirational stories; when I feel confused, I go to read some thoughtful books to slowly understand the wisdom and truth of life through philosophers’ enlightenment; when I feel life is boring, I go to read some interesting books to broaden my vision and horizons through other people’s wonderful experiences.
If a person likes to read books, especially good classic books, then he has countless really good friends. Although they are not really there for you, as long as you open the book, the person who reads has the possibility to communicate with the author.
The process of reading may seem lonely, because it requires you to calm your mind alone in order to get into a better reading state. However, I often feel that as long as there is a book, I am not alone. It is because what reading brings to people is a silent companionship.

If one does not read, it seems that one has nothing to lose, but if one reads, one will have more things than one can imagine.
When you have insurmountable problems and difficulties, reading can give you better ideas and guidance; when you are tired of dealing with the tedium and complexity of social life, reading can help you gain freedom and relaxation; when you feel lonely, books are the closest and least expensive friends and soulmates you have to look for.
As much as you read a book, it will give you back as much benefit as you get from it. You may occasionally feel that reading is useless, not because it has lost its meaning and value, but because you may not be patient and sincere enough. As long as you are willing to read steadily, even if it means using a lot of bits and pieces of leisure time, you will slowly find that your world is becoming more and more expansive.
To read and not to read, to live a different life.
