Li ZiQi’s snail noodles again in the scandal was exposed to eat cigarette butts

Mainland netizen Li Ziqi‘s brand of snail noodles is once again involved in a Food safety fiasco, with consumers claiming to have eaten cigarette butts in snail noodles. This comes after a consumer claimed to have eaten razor blades in snail noodles.

According to consumer Ms. Wang, she found a cigarette butt sandwiched between the cooked noodles and bean curd on March 6 while eating Li ZiQi snail noodles, “I took a few bites and it was disgusting.

The snail noodles in question were purchased by Ms. Wang from Li ZiQi’s flagship store through “VIA Live” at an actual cost of 26.26 yuan.

After eating the butts, Ms. Wang complained about the incident to the store’s customer service, which said it would give priority to refunding the money and giving Ms. Wang additional sesame root powder. Since Ms. Wang had questions about the safety of the brand’s food, she suggested that the compensation for the sesame root powder be discounted together and received $77.

Afterwards, Ms. Wang also uploaded the video she took when she found the cigarette butt in the snail powder to her personal ShakeYin account, but the video was banned due to “a complaint from the right holder for allegedly violating reputation rights.

Ms. Wang believes that although she has accepted the refund, it does not mean that she cannot be exposed to the matter, and ShakeYin is her personal account, based on the premise of the facts, Li ZiQi side of the complaint she “slander rumors”, is in violation of her legal rights, and demanded Li ZiQi public apology and withdraw the complaint to ShakeYin. In response, Li ZiQi’s brand customer service center responded that the company has never complained to ShakeYin, and will subsequently verify the consumer feedback.

Li ZiQi’s products are mostly produced in OEM mode and have been complained about many times due to food safety issues. In September last year, some consumers said they had eaten razor blades from Li ZiQi’s snail noodles, when Li ZiQi responded that it was a “planned and organized malicious smear campaign” and that the metal detection equipment in the snail noodle production plant could detect and automatically separate metal objects, and that the brand had called the police.

In January this year, Li ZiQi’s brand Doduo mushroom sauce was again exposed for “allegedly falsifying nutrition labels and exaggerating propaganda”. In response, Li ZiQi again responded to consumers that the incident had been referred to the public security, but did not provide the relevant reporting procedures.

Li Ziqi is a native of Mianyang, Sichuan province, who started filming videos showing ancient food a few years ago and became well known and rapidly rose in popularity to become a net star. Li Ziqi was questioned by netizens as having team support.

Since mid-December 2019, the CCP’s People’s Daily has issued four rare articles in a row, promoting Li Ziqi, and a number of CCP party media have also been unanimously enthusiastic about Li Ziqi.

Current commentators say that the CCP has created some figures and established some heroes at different times to guide public opinion and control society, but such creation will not leave official traces as it did in the past. The CCP needs more means to put Gold on its face.
