But two years later, when they took possession of the house, the buyers received a “problem” property: cardboard doors, walls falling off, electrical safety hazards, water seepage and other problems, and even the road planning around the project was not completed.

There are several safety concerns, including the fact that there is only one fire exit for a residential community with more than 1,700 households, and in the event of a fire, fire engines cannot enter, which is a serious safety crisis. The wiring in the units is not in accordance with national standards, and there are many households with wires that are not covered with hoses.

Ms. Zhang, the owner, said that she could not accept the poor quality of the whole community of Greenland Meihu and the many safety hazards, and forced delivery without rectification.

In the face of the many problems of the housing, more than 1,000 owners of Greenland Lake proposed to the housing company on December 16, 2020, “refusing to accept the housing”.

Doors and windows are broken, walls are uneven, walls are falling off, ceiling cracks, floor bulging and so on, what makes everyone more chilling is that the goods are not right, substandard, the entry door gap is stuffed with pieces of paper, bedroom doors and skirting are made of cardboard.”

“Wuhan in April 8, 2020 asked to resume work and production, but Greenland Meilu but delayed until October to start work. December 16, 2020 was rushed to notify owners in writing to take possession of the house in batches one after another.” Ms. Wang said.

On December 19, 2020, the owners organized a rights defense activity on their own initiative, and the Wuhan Caidian District Government sent co-police to the scene to monitor the situation. However, the processing process was too slow, and then the owners successively submitted housing rejection letters to the developer and reflected the housing quality problems to the Caidian District Housing and Urban Development Bureau.

The above problems have not been rectified well, and as time goes by, the owners found more and more problems exposed in Greenland Meihu District, with cracked ground and walls on the first floor, serious water seepage, cracked skirt walls on the top floor, etc.

In the face of the slow rectification and problems of the project, the owners of Greenland Meihu went to Wuhan City Bureau of Letters and Visits and Wuhan Housing Authority to complain again on January 22 this year. The result of the coordination between all parties was to request the developer to carry out proper rectification.

January 28, Caidian District Housing Authority functional departments of the district 1, 2, 6 buildings part of the housing circuit field testing, found that there are substandard wire specifications, some lines are not casing and other issues, but the Caidian District Housing Authority side did not give a test report.

The owners questioned how the quality of such a superior community was accepted by the quality? They hope that the relevant departments will give an explanation.

Ms. Zhang, the owner, said that after the traditional Chinese New Year, so far, Greenland Meihu and the builder still have not made comprehensive rectification of the project quality, and more than 1,000 owners are still unable to move into their new homes. I don’t know when to wait.

The Greenland Meihu project is planned to cover an area of 376 mu, with a construction area of 320,000 square meters. It is developed in two phases, of which the first phase is a villa and the second phase is a high-rise, with a total of more than 1,700 residences in the second phase.
