Arizona U.S. Rep. Andy Biggs (R) said Friday, March 12, that some hospitals in the state are currently being filled with illegal border crossers infected with the Chinese Communist virus (Neocoronavirus).
According to OANN, Biggs said, “We’re getting word that some hospitals [in Arizona] are starting to fill up again with people with New Coronavirus pneumonia wards. We’re seeking confirmation.” “And these people who are seeking medical attention are not U.S. citizens, they are not legal residents here, these people are coming across the border (illegal immigrants).”
Biggs, for his part, is among the Republican lawmakers who have forcefully denounced the Biden Administration‘s immigration policies. He tweeted a stern warning to the Biden administration on Thursday (March 11) saying, “Drug trafficking is a serious problem and we must not allow President Biden to ignore our laws and enforce an open borders policy and empower drug traffickers.”
The report also said that as illegal immigrants are put into the U.S., border officials admit that they do not test every illegal immigrant arrested for the New Coronavirus. “While humanitarian organizations and local health officials provide shelter, care and testing for sick asylum seekers, lawmakers fear that the situation will become even more dire in the future.”
Republican members of Congress have reportedly been increasingly vocal in recent days in attacking Biden’s return to a “catch and release” policy, blaming it for the recent surge in illegal immigration. The report said the number of illegal immigrant children crossing the U.S.-Mexico border has continued to rise since Biden took office, and the number of new illegal immigrants crossing the border has overwhelmed the original shelters.
America First News also reported that Customs and Border Protection (CBP) records show a 28 percent increase in illegal border crossings in February. That number is expected to worsen. However, the Biden administration is reluctant to call it a crisis.
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki claimed, “Our focus is on getting to the root of the problem and taking action …… we don’t feel the need to play this game of calling it a crisis.”
